Inter-Season

Flaine is a purpose-built resort that closes down in the 'inter-season' months.
However, the inter-season is the perfect time to escape the hustle and bustle of life and re-charge in the mountains.
​
Flaine does have a small population, with numbers of around just 140 residents who live there permanently. During the inter-season there is also a community of workers who are there to manage the lifts and mechanics ahead of the season.
​
The Tourist Information Centre is open at this time, and usually just one restaurant offering a fixed price lunchtime menu. You can gather your provisions en route to Flaine at the Super U in Magland and enjoy some well deserved rest and recuperation.

Why Visit Inter-Season?
Inter-season is from around mid-April to July and September to mid-December.
This is an opportunity to see and experience the Alps without the distraction of others!
An ideal time to escape, read, walk or even work on a project without distraction.
We are flexible around arrival and departure days and length of stay.
With a minimum of 5 nights in the inter-season.
